Introduce the two activation methods of Office 2010


1.Multiple Activation Key (MAK)
For each volume version of Microsoft Office 2010, it will provide a unique multiple activation key (MAK) keys to each organization. Then, you must use the Microsoft hosted activation service to implement the activation process  for each computer .
MAK is applicable to the organization which rarely connect to the corporate network (such as portable computers) . Therefore, we must use the MAK key to install, instead of using the KMS client key which default by Microsoft Office 2010 . Use MAK activation, you do not need to renew the activation regularly. If you detect a significant change in the hardware, you must re-activate. In addition, if the activation exceeding the booking restrictions, you must request to allow a greater number of activation. And You must manage the installation of MAK. If not renewed the license of MAK client, it will not lose this functionality. Successfully activated, the user will not receive notification.
2 The Key Management Service (KMS)
Key Management Service (KMS) to allow the local network to activate the product. Thus, a single computer can activate the product without connected to Microsoft. KMS host administrator must enter the KMS host key. KMS host key must be activated and connected to a Microsoft hosted server to activate.
By default, KMS client key has been installed in the version of the program volume of Microsoft Office 2010. It called the KMS client computer by using the KMS key to run the client version of Microsoft Office 2010, the computer is connected to the organization of the KMS host to request activation. End users do not have to do anything, and you do not have to enter the product key KMS client. System administrator must activate the KMS host and configure Microsoft KMS host. KMS client can also configure the variable length of time of re-activation and renewal period.
